Biography

EN:

Bianca Steck is a Barcelona-born musician, singer, songwriter and sound studio architect of British and German origin, currently based in Brussels. With a formal classical training in piano and clarinet, she began writing her own music at fifteen, developing a sound that blends intimate tones with meaningful storytelling. Rooted in folk and pop traditions, her music captures deep emotions through rich harmonies and evocative lyrics.

Her debut album, ‘The Joy of Coincidences’, was released in March 2025 on Unday Records and she played her release show in a sold-out AB Club. The album got international airplay and was well received in the press. Bianca Steck is one of those artists who immediately grabs your attention with depth, beauty and an incredibly unique sound.

'The Joy of Coincidences' is a dreamy, cinematic journey full of harp, clarinet, flugelhorn, and subtle electronics. Bianca Steck has played in several venues around Europe and has recently been touring with Hania Rani as supporting act (KOKO London, La Cigale Paris, Tivoli Utrecht, Columbia Theatre Berlin, ...). She won Belgian influential contest 'Sound Track' and has been selected for IMPALA’s 100 Artists to Watch for 2025, highlighting some of the most exciting independent artists across Europe.

NL:

Veelbelovend!

Press

EN:

"A debut album full of velvety horns, cello and piano, and a disarming singing voice that, like Joanna Newsom or Emilíana Torrini, has something childlike about it." - HUMO ***1/2

"Pearls of songs written by Steck, a debut with the élan of a future classic" - Knack ****

“Sometimes words fall short of capturing how naturally everything came together and how perfectly the voice, band, and compositions were in balance. An extra round of applause was therefore absolutely in order, both for the musicians who played so exquisitely and for Bianca Steck herself, who managed to convey her beautiful songs with such feeling.” - Dansende Beren

“Bianca continues to enchant audiences with her melancholic yet intricate soundscapes.” - Frontview Magazine

"Most of the songs are marinated in a bath of melancholy, which can sometimes lead to a somewhat monotonous performance live. It was a flaw that Steck managed to avoid perfectly by regularly changing the line-up during the set. It worked perfectly and the hour flew by." - Luminous Dash

“With intimate harmonies and lyrics brimming with meaning, Bianca wins you over in seconds.” - La Vague Parallèle

NL:

- Dansende Beren
