Sinds Omar Dahl in 2017 werd opgericht in een schuurtje in hun woonplaats, heeft de band een unieke mix van Oost en West gecreëerd. De band kanaliseert deze interculturele geest door elektronische grooves te combineren met traditionele instrumenten zoals viool, saxofoon en ney.

 

Met invloeden van artiesten als Kerala Dust en Altin Gün versmelt de muziek van Omar Dahl downtempo house met oosterse melodieën, waardoor een geluid ontstaat dat zich net zo thuis voelt in wazige clubs als op zonovergoten festivals. Hun wereldwijde reizen, van Saudi-Arabië tot Mexico, hebben deze fusie verrijkt door zwoele ritmes te mengen met stuwende beats.

 

In 2025 brachten ze Traum uit, hun 3e EP en eerste samenwerking met het Berlijnse label Laut & Luise. Gevormd door percussie en organische ritmes verkent de EP de liminale ruimte tussen bewustzijn en dromen.

Since forming in 2017 in a shed in their hometown, Omar Dahl has crafted a unique blend of East and West. The band channels this cross-cultural spirit, combining electronic grooves with traditional instruments like violin, saxophone, and ney.

 

Drawing influences from artists such as Kerala Dust and Altin Gün, Omar Dahl’s music fuses downtempo house with Eastern melodies, creating a sound equally at home in hazy clubs or sunlit festivals. Their global travels, from Saudi Arabia to Mexico, have enriched this fusion, blending sultry rhythms with driving beats.

 

In 2025 they released Traum, their 3th EP and first collaboration with Berlin-based label Laut & Luise. Shaped by percussion and organic rhythms, the EP explores the liminal space between consciousness and dreams.
