BIOGRAPHY

Barcelona-born and half-British, Brussels-based singer-songwriter Bianca Steck crafts intimate, cinematic songs that move between indie pop and folk. With a background in classical piano and clarinet, her music blends delicate arrangements, atmospheric production and deeply reflective songwriting.

She has steadily built an international live presence through support tours with Polish composer Hania Rani and British songwriter Tom McRae, performing in venues such as KOKO (London), La Cigale (Paris), TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht) and Columbia Theater (Berlin), introducing her music to audiences across Europe. She played showcases at MMVV (ES, 2025) and MIL (PT, 2026) and had release shows in Belgium (AB, De Roma, Beursschouwburg,...) and Spain (Eufonic, SOHO House, Casa Elizalde)

Her new album will be released on 26 February 2027 via Unday Records. An international club tour will follow with shows in Poland, Germany, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. This trajectory will lead into the 2027 European festival season.

Her debut album The Joy of Coincidences (Unday Records, 2025) received international media support, with features in outlets such as Mondo Sonoro (ES), Vanity Teen (USA), HUMO, De Standaard and Knack (BE), alongside airplay on stations including Radio 1 (BE), LRT Opus (LT), Bremen Zwei (DE), Radio 3 (ES),... She did a live session at Radio 1 with Ayco Duyster in February 2026 to promote her tour. The album surpassed one million streams on Spotify within its first year and includes a collaboration with Polish pianist and composer Hania Rani.

She has also gained nice industry recognition:

- Nominated for UPBEAT Best New Talent 2026

- One of IMPALA’s 100 Artists to Watch 2025

- Winner of Belgium’s Sound Track competition

PRESS

"Sometimes words simply fail to capture how naturally everything came together and how the vocals, the band and the compositions were perfectly balanced. An extra round of applause was therefore absolutely in order, both for the musicians, who played with such finesse, and for Bianca Steck herself, who conveyed her beautiful songs with such feeling." - Dansende Beren at We Are Open 2026

"She paints with words. No straight lines, but watercolours that blend into a hopeful melancholy. Halfway through, the trumpet lifted the whole piece slightly. Not loudly, so that the audience remained spellbound, lingering in the sound. Tonight, Bianca Steck proved that fragility is not a fault line, but a foundation." - Luminous Dash at We Are Open 2026

"A debut album full of velvety horns, cello and piano, and a disarming singing voice that, like Joanna Newsom or Emilíana Torrini, has something childlike about it." - HUMO ***1/2

"Pearls of songs written by Steck, a debut with the élan of a future classic" - Knack ****

“Bianca continues to enchant audiences with her melancholic yet intricate soundscapes.” - Frontview Magazine

“With intimate harmonies and lyrics brimming with meaning, Bianca wins you over in seconds.” - La Vague Parallèle
